By Wim van Campen – Technical Sales Director

IP traffic is continuing to increase across both private networks as well as the public Internet. This is forcing networks like those found at Internet Exchanges (IX) to dramatically scale the backbone.

This application demands a next-generation, scalable, high-performance Ethernet platform. Last generation platforms optimised for 10/100Mbps connections to GE trunks just don't live up to the needs of these networks. What's needed now is a platform that supports lots of GE connections to 10GE trunks. What's needed is a 10x improvement in performance and scalability over these last generation platforms and Force10 is the only company delivering that level of improvement today.

We are a passionately innovative company focused on enabling our customers to scale their networks to the next level, and are very happy to be the sponsor of the second Euro-IX Forum.
