Eric Andrei Băleanu is the Chairman of the Board of the Interlan Association, which operates InterLAN-IX – the largest neutral Internet Exchange in Romania. With over 20 years of experience in the telecom and interconnection ecosystem, he actively promotes regional cooperation between IXPs, open peering policies, and sustainable infrastructure for independent ISPs. Eric regularly participates in international community forums such as Euro-IX and RIPE Meetings, and in major peering events including GPF, EPF, Peering Days, as well as NANOG and APRICOT. He also contributes to organizing RONOG and other industry events in Romania.
