Born roughly a year before RFC 1, Michel obtained his master’s degree in electrical engineering at about the time the first Internet networks appeared in Europe. After a brief stint at Europe Online, an attempt at a walled garden online network, Michel worked for 22 years in various positions in the financial services industry. Network Engineer, Head of Service, Project Manager and Head of IT Operations were steps in both Luxembourg and Zurich, before joining LU-CIX as CIO in 2019.
